Our little "Snoops", he is such a handsome little pup.

"Oh, NIKE, what did you do???" Looking guilty much?? Yes yes, he is paying the price for his bad behavior...check out the next picture...

Yep, it takes one BIG dog to knock out the bricks from a brand new brick wall! What a dumb ox.

Our faithful companion...

Dear Madison...coming up to her 15th birthday. She is, and always has been, a good dog. Now she is very hard of hearing and pretty much blind. She has lost her peripheral vision and you can be standing right beside her talking to her and until you walk into her direct line of vision, she doesn't know your there. Poor thing. We sure do love her though and she still has her frisky moments...

Here she is doing her bow-legged stance - ha ha:

My things that are green

Here are my green photos, all were taken inside: we still have so much snow outside, there is no green outside!!

I love this hand soap, it's my favorite!!

Last week I decided to do a different colour with my nails, and then when I found out this week's challenge is green, I am keeping them green this week too :)
(the green nail polish is thanks to Mackenzie,
I am not sure I would buy this colour myself!!!)

I was reading my book for Bible study and highlighting things that really stood out for me, while I was waiting for my dermatologist appointment, and all the sudden I realized I was highlighting in GREEN!!

And look: even my dermatologist got in the "green" spirit, by writing my prescription in green pen!!

Green

Well, I found out that, even though I love green, I don't have much of it in my house... Here's a few:

Our green hallway - I LOVE this colour. First, seen up close by a picture:

And, secondly, shown from the living room:

Green beans in a decorative jar:

A green chair that I painted:

Greens in our bathroom window:

My favorite "green boys" on my fridge (I DID take the photo...of a photo - ha ha):

I've gone overboard, I'm sorry

I love green and this challenge made me realise how many things actually are green inside my house, so I don't even have to go look outside... crazy.

Up first: the South African Flag

Also the cushions in the living room including the green wall in the background

Polka dots on green china

The most comfortable slippers

My favorite Nespresso coffee

And lastely, Spring is just around the corner :-D

So,... this is me:-D Might post some more during the week, just because there's sooooooooo much to take pictures off. Have a great week you Canadians! Love

Week #11: Green

Well thanks to Mum and Sandrine for joining me in posting this week, if you still have taken your pictures, please post them, even if you are a little late, we will forgive you - we really just want to see your pictures!! Come on ladies, you can do it :-)

This week's photo challenge is the word: Green

All I can say, for me here in Red Deer, it's going to have to be really warm all week, if I want to see any green grass, we still have so much snow on the ground!!!

Good luck on the photo challenge, I look forward to seeing more people posting this week!

Oopsy, a little late...

Also been very creative to play outside with my brother... (who couldn't make the photo shoot) this was one of our favorites:-)

And my all time favorite: (a bit dusty as you can see)

Love, Sandrine

My childhood toys

This week was a fun one strolling down memory lane :)

I found a box that was marked "Kristy - childhood - KEEP!"

I decided to take a look and look what I found........

My Magic box!! I loved this as a child, I remember hours on hours entertaining my family with my magic tricks! I am sure they guessed how I did it after like the first time, but I can remember them sitting for hours watching me!! Thanks family!!

Ok, who can remember what all these are?
There are 3 different toys here!

One of my favorite games ever as a kid!! I can remember Mum and I playing this over and over again!! We played it so much, that Mum finally laminated the characters so they wouldn't rip!

....and finally....what girl doesn't love barbies!!!

My family will get a good laugh at this photo....
I am pretty sure, this was "Haggitha Hagfish's cousin, Harriet" :-)

Thanks for joining me down memory lane!

My Childhood Friends...

Okay...so I had this strange childhood...ha ha. With two older brothers who were always off on adventures and who really didn't want their little sister tagging along, I spent a lot of my time by myself in my room. My imaginary friend was my best friend. I never named her but talked to "her" and/or myself constantly. I liked dolls but didn't have anyone to play dolls with so my main childhood 'toys' were books and marbles. Yup, marbles.

My all-time favorite book was Elsie Dinsmore, by Martha Finley, which I must have read at least a dozen times. I LOVED Elsie and wanted to be just like her. She was such a sweet little girl and her strong, childlike faith always inspired me and, I believe, had a big part in the formation of my faith in Christ. I have the original book but it is in tatters and somewhere in my hope chest. So, I took a photo of one that I bought in a book store once:

My next favorite book, that I also read many times, was "Star of Light" by Patricia M. St. John. My aunt, who was a missionary in India, bought me a few of her books. I also read "Star of Light" over and over. These are the original books that she gave me:

The big book that you see here, "Pookie and the Gypsies" was one that my grandparents used to read to me over and over when we went to visit them and I was able to purchase it (same cover!) from Ebay which excited the 'child' in me...

Marbles. I don't even know how to tell you about the hours that I played with marbles on my bed. They were usually 'children' in an orphanage and the big "boulders" were the house parents. Oh, the adventures we had. I still can't look at a cat's eye or milky without getting this tug in my stomach and a luring toward the nearest bed...ha ha.
