Week #52 - Resolutions

Well can you believe it? Our year is coming to an end! It seems like we just started...oh well, are you ready for the last challenge of the year??

These ornaments were my Mum's and I always treasure them when I pull them out every year - especially because her writing is all over the box ☺

In the end...it's all about the cross.

This is our most recent family photo. I did not take this photo. But it holds a lot of value to me, because this is the first and last "whole family" photo we will ever have. You see, my parents are divorcing. So the chances of something like this ever happening again are slim.

Christmas Decorations

Bob and I got given a Christmas tree this year to put up and decorate. As we didn't have any decorations, Bob went out to buy some. He asked me what colours I wanted, and I must admit, I love the traditional colours of Red, Green and Silver.

And look - even Stitch got in the Christmas spirit!!

Week #49 - Decorations

Well if you have noticed, I didn't post a challenge last week. Mum and I decided to just leave it at Shopping as we both hadn't done it yet and still wanted to As I see now, Mum did it - but me on the other hand...failed!! I had an idea and didn't get to it, so I just decided to forget it.

We only have a few more weeks left and so here we go....

My Pet Peeves...I have a lot!!

Okay, I'm thinking that our pet peeves are going to be the same and I thought you would have already posted yours on here...

I was disappointed because I didn't get started earlier in the week and I didn't get the ones I would have liked to have gotten - like people who leave their Christmas lights up all year long (too late to catch them because now they have turned them on!), businesses who make spelling mistakes in their advertising/menus (Caesar salad spelled "Ceasar" is my all-time pet peeve!), etc... Anyway, here's what I got and I'm sure you have some similar photos!

First, let's start off with two clocks (ESPECIALLY digital ones!) that are side by side not showing the same time...realllly? It could literally drive me to drink if I let it. These two are constantly being changed - I stand there and synchronize them many times in a week, yet STILL they do this:


Then there is spelling. Do you NOT remember the rule from school, folks? "When a word ends in 'y', you changed the 'y' to an 'i' and add 'es'....sheeeeeesh.


Starbucks seems to be a common culprit to not realizing their lights are burnt out!

We could always go to Bucks Coffee if we can't find Starbucks...LOL.

Week #46 - Pet Peeves

I decided to change the challenge this week, because the one that was on the list was boring, so I thought we need to do something fun!

Wikipedia defines Pet Peeves as this: A pet peeve is a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to him or her, to a greater degree than others may find it.

Stepping back...through the windows of time.

Okay, I'm kind of cheating a little bit as these were taken back in July when Sam and I did an old house photoshoot...but I did take them and they are just too good not to use here!!




It was cool because we could actually get close enough to see into the house and it was filled with all the original antique furniture...how sad that it was just neglected.

Candy Basket

This past Sunday night, Bob and I went to see our friend's daughter, Mackenzie in a play. The play was Annie and it was put on by the Christian Youth Theater. It was very well done and we so enjoyed ourselves. While we were there, they said they were doing a raffle draw for this basket. We thought we would buy one, but they were three for $5.00 and they didn't have much change, so we ended up buying three and guess what?

One of them won!!

It sure has a lot of yummy candies inside :)

Well, with Hallowe'en over, we usually try and pick up some of those little candy bars on sale for the silver tin, and this year was no exception! Our cupboard overflows...

Really creeepy

I don't know about you but I find it creepy when I get obvious spam from someone I know. Yesterday I got this email from an RCMP friend who I haven't heard from for years - maybe this is why...

...yeah, I think his email account has been hacked! And what the heck is with the quote at the end, anyway? "The train baggage man who saw Al rescue Jimmy would get the papers in Detroit and bring them up to Mt." Ha ha ha...creeeeepy.

Definition of creepy - "to cause fear or unease"

From the looks Bob and I got when we went to A & W for supper on Friday night, before youth....you would think people thought we were creepy!!

Bob and I dressed up as Nerds for nerd bowling with the youth group on Friday night :)
